Thermodynamics and Energy Conversion in Micro- and Nanoscale Technologies

Typ: Vorlesung + Übung/Tutorium
SWS: 4
Credit Points: 4

Kursbeschreibung / -kommentar

The student will be able to acquire significant knowledge in thermodynamics, transport phenomena (heat, mass and flow) and energy conversion, not found in traditional courses in these areas and appropriate for the understanding of the basics of micro- and nanotechnologies. This knowledge is needed for the development of many novel and emerging technologies exemplified by cooling of the new generation of electronic devices, thermal manufacturing of chips, sensors, microfluidic devices and energy conversion in microscopic transportable devices and powerplants.
